As we approach another massive recruiting weekend in Ann Arbor, MI, the Michigan football team received some great news on the 2024 recruiting trail. According to a 247 Sports recruiting insider, the Wolverines are heating up for (and projected to land) one of the top players in Virginia, who also happens to be a Penn State football target.
Michigan football favored to land Penn State football target
This crystal ball seemingly came out of nowhere for the Michigan Wolverines, though I am sure Jim Harbaugh and his staff are not complaining too much. On Wednesday night, 247 Sports National Recruiting Analyst Greg Biggins put in a crystal ball for Michigan football to land three-star Mekhai White of King George High School in King George, VA. Biggins is 100% accurate thus far in the 2024 recruiting class.
White is ranked as the No. 494 player in the 2024 class, the No. 61 athlete (No. 47 wideout), and the No. 7 player in the state of Virginia by 247 Sports. Additionally, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, White’s top two school choices are the Maryland Terrapins and Penn State Nittany Lions — he has visited both schools a whopping five times thus far.
Michigan may have changed White’s mind with visit on Tuesday
As I said before, both Penn State and Maryland have five visits each. North Carolina (5), Virginia Tech (4), Georgia (4), and Virginia (3) have also landed a substantial amount of visits; in fact, the Michigan Wolverines have only had White visit Ann Arbor once to this point. The Penn State football target visited Michigan’s campus on Tuesday of this week — the time around Michigan’s staff and players was clearly enough to shoot the Wolverines way up White’s list of school choices.
Just a day after White’s first trip to Ann Arbor, MI, a shocking crystal ball was placed by one of the best insiders in the business for Michigan football to steal this Penn State football target.
