Today, new reports surfaced via the Lansing State Journal, showing that an Arizona man is now facing four charges for threats that he made against Mel Tucker and Michigan State players following the Michigan football-MSU tunnel fight. The fight infamously occurred last fall following the Wolverines’ 29-7 beatdown of Tucker’s eventual 5-7 Spartans in Ann Arbor, MI.

According to new reports from the LSJ, Thomas Seros of Arizona has a plea hearing coming up next month after pleading not guilting to misdemeanor charges over threats allegedly made against Mel Tucker and other members of the Michigan State football program.

Per court records, he allagedly used an electronic device to “terrorize, frighten, intimate, threaten, and harass” Michigan State defender Angelo Grose and currently suspended head coach Mel Tucker.

Seros is currently facing charges — pleading not guilty — for sending “racially motivated” messages on Twitter (now known as ‘X’) following the tunnel fight at Michigan football stadium in Ann Arbor. The fight, which remains in the headlines nearly a year later, was a major tipping point in a rivalry that has gotten quite ugly in recent years.

Michigan State and Mel Tucker both did not comment, per reports. Additionally, it’s worth noting that seven Michigan State football players faced criminal charges due to the tunnel incident — the Big Ten also fined the MSU $100,000.
