Despite being 13-0, Michigan football has hit more than one roadblock this season. Since news broke of the Wolverines’ sign-stealing, Michigan football and Jim Harbaugh’s sign-stealing scandal have been the talk of every program that has the Wolverines on their schedule. Most recently, Alabama Football coach Nick Saban addressed concerns over the Michigan football sign-stealing scandal before this year’s Rose Bowl.
Alabama football coach Nick Saban addresses concerns for Michigan sign-stealing scandal ahead of Rose Bowl
When asked about the Michigan football sign-stealing scandal, here’s what Nick Saban had to say.
“No, we’re really not concerned about that,” Nick Saban said. “Integrity in the game I think is really, really important, and our team has had every opportunity to prepare for this game just like they have every other game.”
Saban continued by expressing his support for an “NFL system” where the coaches can directly communicate with the quarterback.
“I think that especially when you’re a no-huddle team you’ve got to adapt and adjust how you communicate with the quarterback, and hopefully one day we’ll get to the NFL system where you can just talk to the guy in his helmet,” he added. “I think that would be a lot better. But for now, we just have to adapt to how we communicate with the quarterback, and we’ll change it up and try to not put our players at a disadvantage in any way.”
Michigan football will take on the Crimson Tide in the Rose Bowl to determine who advances to the national championship. Kickoff in Pasadena is set for 5:00 PM EST.
