Yesterday, the direction of the Michigan football recruiting efforts shifted momentarily in regard to quarterbacks in the 2025 class. Undoubtedly, the top priority for Michigan is securing the commitment of five-star QB Bryce Underwood from Belleville High School, located right in Jim Harbaugh’s vicinity. However, a new target emerged yesterday in the form of four-star Ohio quarterback Tavien St. Clair from Bellefontaine High.
New 2025 four-star Ohio quarterback target for Michigan football recruiting
Yesterday, Michigan football recruiting added a new target to its sights: Tavien St. Clair, a four-star Ohio quarterback prospect for the 2025 class, who is quickly gaining recognition. According to the 247 Sports rankings, Tavien St. Clair is a four-star recruit, ranking as the No. 14 quarterback in the 2025 class and the No. 9 recruit in the state of Ohio.
On Thursday, Tavien St. Clair took to Twitter to announce that he has received a scholarship offer from the Maize and Blue, potentially making the Michigan Wolverines a top contender against the Ohio State Buckeyes. Currently, the Buckeyes hold 100% of the crystal ball predictions in favor of landing this talented four-star Ohio quarterback recruit.
Furthermore, the Michigan Wolverines are still heavily focused on securing the commitment of Bryce Underwood, the nation’s top recruit, who is a five-star target and plays high school football approximately 20 minutes away from Michigan’s campus in Ann Arbor.
However, the Maize and Blue understand that nothing is guaranteed in college football recruiting, so they are wisely targeting several talented quarterbacks in the 2025 class as a precautionary measure.
It is worth noting that the Michigan football recruiting efforts have been exceptional recently, and the Wolverines are actively seeking to add even more talent to their roster in the 2024 and 2025 recruiting classes throughout the summer.
