A 2024 Buckeye commit had a lot to say about Michigan’s 2024 class.

This fall, the Wolverines will look to win their third-straight matchup against the Buckeyes. Until then, the battle has moved to the recruiting trail and social media, where Ohio State and Michigan recruits are going blow-for-blow. Earlier this week, an Ohio State commit openly took a shot at the Wolverines’ class, and members of the 2024 Michigan recruiting class fired back. Here is what was said.

Ohio State commit takes shot at Wolverines’ recruiting

On Tuesday, four-star Ohio State commit Ian Moore took to social media to comment on the recruiting battle between Michigan and Ohio State.

“C’mon now. Hate to start beef but two of those dudes are salty that they didn’t get OSU offers and the other two just didn’t get them,” Ohio State commit Ian Moore said. “I’ve been to camps with everybody on that list except Marc (Marc’s a dog though) and the Blake kid and I can tell you the Bucks are on top.”

2024 Michigan football recruits fire back

Soon after Moore’s comments, four-star offensive lineman Ben Roebuck responded with a message of his own.

“Always comes down to not having that offer,” Roebuck said. “Michigan’s got the better offensive line and better coaches. Seems like I wasn’t missing out on much… Go blue.”

Ben Roebuck was not the only member of the 2024 Michigan recruiting class to respond, either; four-star commit Luke Hamilton also fired back on his Twitter account.

“Lemme sit back and grab some popcorn because this is comical,” Hamilton said. “If you take rankings out the picture Marc Nave is the best o line commit y’all got. @NateBige let’s get the ‘you didn’t even have an offer, they didn’t even want you’ comments going.”

Despite none of these 2024 commits signing yet, the rivalry is alive and well between the next generation of Wolverines and Buckeyes.
