Fall camp started yesterday for the Maize and Blue, and with that, this year’s roster is looking a little bit different. In fact, for standout Michigan football player Rod Moore, a safety, there have been some quiet notable changes in his appearance heading into the 2023 college football season.

Standout Michigan football player Rod Moore adds weight, changes number ahead of the 2023 college football season

Rod Moore is a star for the Wolverine defense — he had a breakout season in 2022, helping lead the Maize and Blue to a second-straight Big Ten title and College Football Playoff appearance. Right now, Moore is graded as the top safety in the Big Ten, and is being pinned as a major NFL Draft prospect for the 2024 cycle.

Additionally, Rod Moore is a preseason All-Big Ten selection (PFF and others) and appears to be perhaps the top Michigan football defender on the field for the Wolverines heading into the 2023 college football season. Yesterday, during day one of fall camp in Ann Arbor, Michigan football updated its 2023 roster page, and it appears that Moore is looking quite different heading into this essential season.

According to the Michigan football roster page (via MGoBlue.Com), Michigan football star Rod Moore has gained an impressive 13 pounds since last season, going from 185 pounds to 198 pounds heading into the 2023 college football season. Additionally, while fans are used to seeing Moore fly around the field wearing No. 19, you will have to keep a close eye on No. 9 this fall, since he has recently changed his number.
