Yesterday, it was confirmed that the Wolverines will have a special guest for this weekend’s game against the Bowling Green State Falcons. In-state Michigan football target Elijah Dotson, a three-star athlete in the 2025 recruiting class, has announced that he plans on being in Ann Arbor for Week 3 — a game that will be coached by offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore during the final week of Jim Harbaugh’s three-game suspension.

In-state Michigan football target Elijah Dotson locks in game-day visit with the Wolverines

Elijah Dotson is not the highest-ranked Michigan football target, but he remains an important one for the Wolverines. Per the 247 Sports composite rankings, Dotson is a three-star athlete in the 2025 recruiting class — he ranks as the No. 33 athlete in the nation and is the No. 7 recruit in the state of Michigan.

Yesterday, he announced on his Twitter that he will be making the trip to Ann Arbor this weekend for a game-day visit with the Wolverines, who are slated to face the Bowling Green State Falcons for the team’s first night game of the season. Michigan currently boasts a 2-0 record, and seeing as BGSU is not the strongest opponent for Michigan football, it is expected that the Maize and Blue will cruise to another solid victory before beginning Big Ten play the following weekend.

In-state Michigan football target Elijah Dotson is a product of the University Of Detroit Jesuit High School in Detroit, MI. Right now, despite being a member of the young 2025 recruiting class, Dotson has one crystal ball prediction — it is in favor of the Wolverines.

Dotson has offers from both Michigan football and Bowling Green, as well as other major schools, including Penn State, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Indiana, and more.
