Wisconsin Targeting Former Michigan Football Player In Portal

This former Michigan football transfer portal loss caught the eye of the Wisconsin Badgers.

In 2020 and 2021, former four-star defensive back prospect Andre Seldon Jr. took the field for the Maize and Blue, even winning a Big Ten title ring during his two seasons in Ann Arbor. After 2021, Seldon hit the transfer portal and committed to New Mexico State; however, after a pair of impressive seasons with the Aggies, Seldon is back in the portal, and it appears that the former Michigan football transfer has caught the eye of the Wisconsin Badgers.

Yesterday, Seldon announced on X that he would be taking an official visit to Wisconsin on January 3-5. Seldon has two years of eligibility remaining and could be a valuable asset to a Power Five secondary.

Seldon stands at only five-foot-nine but has impressive skills to make up for his lack of size. At New Mexico State, Seldon amassed 96 total tackles and two interceptions, with one being a pick-six.

At Michigan, Seldon only saw minimal playing time, seeing action in two games over two years. While Seldon wasn’t able to crack the top of the depth chart early on, his playing time at New Mexico State was able to showcase his skills, and any potential return to the Big Ten would make him a viable contender for a starting position.
