This weekend is a massive one for Michigan football recruiting. A number of the nation’s top targets, such as five-star (No. 1 quarterback) Bryce Underwood, are in Ann Arbor visiting with the Wolverines. After this weekend, there is a real possibility that these three Michigan recruits commit to playing football for Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan Wolverines.
Three Michigan recruits that could add to Wolverines’ stellar class
So far, the Michigan Wolverines boast the No. 11 class in the nation (No. 2 Big Ten) in 2024. Michigan football has seven recruits committed — the class has a grade of 91.00 and consists of 57% blue chip recruits. After this weekend, here are a few more Michigan recruits that could commit to the Maize and Blue.
3. Channing Goodwin — wide receiver
Channing Goodwin is a four-star wide receiver from Providence Day High School in Charlotte, NC. Goodwin is ranked as the No. 362 player in the 2024 class, the No. 57 wide receiver, and the No. 11 player in North Carolina for his class. Right now, the Michigan Wolverines are leading for his commitment per the Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 96.2% chance to land him.
Goodwin would be a huge addition to Michigan’s already stellar class, and could be the Wolverines’ first 2024 wide receiver in the class.
2. Brian Robinson — EDGE
Brian Robinson is a major Michigan recruit when it comes to the defensive side of the football. Robinson is a four-star EDGE player from Austintown Fitch High school in Austintown, OH. He is ranked as the No. 137 player in the 2024 class, the No. 12 EDGE player, and the No. 4 player in the state of Ohio. Additionally, the Michigan Wolverines currently lead his recruitment with a 90.5% chance of landing his commitment.
Robinson is also being pursued by schools like Pitt, Penn State, Kentucky, and more. With Robinson visiting Ann Arbor this weekend, we could be in for a commitment very soon.
1. Aaron Chiles — linebacker
Aaron Chiles is also a major Michigan recruit, and is a huge linebacker prospect in the 2024 class. Right now, many top-tier schools (such as Florida, Penn State, and others) are pursuing Chiles, though Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan football team leads his recruitment right now with a 93.6% chance of landing Chiles’ commitment. Chiles is also visiting this weekend — he is one of the best defensive Michigan recruits in Ann Arbor right now, and is ranked as the No. 109 player in his class, the No. 9 linebacker, and the No. 1 player in Maryland.
Chiles is heavily favored to end up in Ann Arbor, so keep an eye on his recruitment after he leaves Ann Arbor as a commitment for Michigan may be coming.
