The Wolverines are entering the 2023 season as strong contenders to win the national championship. However, after the season, Michigan is slated to lose Blake Corum, possibly J.J. McCarthy, and many more to the NFL. This has led many fans to believe that the 2023 season is the final year of Michigan’s national championship window; however, major Michigan football commit Jordan Marshall, a four-star running back out of Ohio, claims the Wolverines are just getting started.

Major Michigan football commit Jordan Marshall: Wolverines will “keep it rolling”

Marshall had this to say about the future of Michigan football: “There is no ceiling to Michigan football,” Jordan Marshall said. “Coach Harbaugh is coaching, the staff is getting players and we are going to keep it rolling.”

Marshall currently plays football for Archbishop Moeller High School in Cincinnati, OH. Despite receiving an offer from Ohio State (and garnering significant interest from the Buckeyes), Marshall made the decision to join the Maize and Blue. His initial enthusiasm for Michigan football bodes well for the team’s fans and is turning heads across the nation.

According to the 247 Sports Composite rankings, Marshall is ranked as the No. 3 recruit in Ohio and the No. 8 running back in the nation.

The future of Michigan football

Jim Harbaugh is in the process of putting together one of his strongest recruiting classes during his tenure at Michigan. The Wolverines currently boast the nation’s No. 2 overall recruiting class per the composite team rankings, coming in only behind the Georgia Bulldogs, who have won two-straight national titles.

Marshall is among the top recruits set to join Michigan football in the 2024 class. He will be joining the Wolverine offense alongside four-star tight end Brady Prieskorn and five-star quarterback Jadyn Davis. Marshall’s message underscores the fact that the upcoming generation of Michigan football holds high aspirations for the future.
