ANN ARBOR, MI — Over the weekend, the Michigan Wolverines hosted many of the best players in the nation across many recruiting classes. Now, just days later, the Michigan football program received more great news in the form of a brand new crystal ball for a four-star offensive tackle from Ohio. Ben Roebuck, a Rivals four-star, could be the newest Ohio player to turn Maize and Blue.
Michigan football receives crystal ball for four-star Ohio lineman
On Monday evening, 247 Sports director of recruiting Steve Wiltfong placed a new crystal ball for Michigan football. The Wolverines now have three crystal balls for 2024 four-star offensive tackle Ben Roebuck, who is a product of St. Edward High School — just two hours from Ohio State’s campus. Roebuck boasts tons of potential with an impressive 6-7, 320-pound frame to match.
According to 247 Sports, Roebuck is rated as a three-star offensive tackle and is ranked as the No. 452 player in his class (composite). Additionally, Roebuck is ranked as 247’s No. 20 offensive tackle and the No. 11 player in Ohio for the 2024 cycle. Many Big Ten teams, such as Michigan, Penn State, Ohio State, and Wisconsin, are pursuing Roebuck, though as of right now, it appears that his heart lies in Ann Arbor.
Roebuck could make for a massive addition to the 2024 class
So far, Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan football team boasts the No. 5 class nationally per 247 Sports’ team rankings. The Wolverines have seven committed players — five of which are four-star recruits — including two players from the state of Ohio. Additionally, Michigan has one offensive tackle already committed: Luke Hamilton, who is also from Ohio.
If Harbaugh and his Wolverines can reel in Roebuck, Michigan’s class will add another major Ohio talent and a solid offensive lineman who carries all the potential in the world.
