Michigan football recruiting: a deadly trio that the Wolverines need to lock down
These are three recruits that Michigan football would love to pair with one another.
The 2024 Michigan football recruiting class landed its 22nd commit of the cycle last night with the addition of four-star edge rusher Devon Baxter. Currently, the class ranks No. 2 nationally and is trending for a number of top-ranked targets, one of whom is four-star wideout Jordan Shipp from Providence Day. Landing Shipp would be significant for the Maize and Blue, as they could pair him with the stellar duo of Jadyn Davis and Channing Goodwin.
Michigan football recruiting needs to lock down this incredible trio of talent
Jadyn Davis is the top Michigan football recruiting commit thus far. He is a five-star quarterback from Providence Day High School in North Carolina and ranks among the top 30 players in the 2024 cycle. Davis had been Jim Harbaugh’s top priority for some time, and when he committed on March 31st of this year, the pieces began to fall into place for the Wolverines.
Along with Davis, the Wolverines have also secured four-star wide receiver Channing Goodwin, another top-priority target and a significant recruiting win for the Maize and Blue. Like Michigan’s five-star quarterback, Goodwin also hails from Providence Day High School, forming an elite duo headed to Ann Arbor in the coming years.
This is where four-star target Jordan Shipp comes in. Landing Shipp would be massive for Michigan football for several reasons, the most important being chemistry. Just like Jadyn Davis and Channing Goodwin, Jordan Shipp is a 2024 offensive recruit from Providence Day High School in North Carolina. If the Wolverines secure his talents, he would complete this formidable trio that appears poised to dominate the college football landscape in the future.
Michigan football recruiting has been actively pursuing this lethal trio of blue-chip offensive recruits, and so far, two out of the three major targets have committed to the Maize and Blue. Currently, it seems that Jordan Shipp is trending towards doing the same, so keep an eye on this recruitment in the upcoming weeks as the Wolverines look to finalize the deal.
