Recently, Michigan football hosted major four-star Ohio target Aaron Scott, one of the top-ranked recruits in his class and a top player in the state of Ohio. According to Jacob Oden, a current four-star commit for the Wolverines, the Maize and Blue are poised to make a strong impression on Scott and potentially secure his commitment in the future.

Both Aaron Scott and Bryce West, the two highest-rated recruits in Ohio, are high-priority targets for the Michigan Wolverines. This week, Bryce West is expected to make a return visit, as we mentioned in our coverage yesterday, while Aaron Scott recently completed an official visit to Ann Arbor with the Wolverines.

Securing the commitment of Aaron Scott, a four-star composite target for the Maize and Blue, would be a significant accomplishment for Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines. Jacob Oden, a four-star in-state recruit who is already committed to Michigan football, believes that his Wolverines made a great impression with Scott, and currently are in the lead.

A new commit coming for the Maize and Blue?

Jacob Oden has been a committed member of the Michigan football program for a considerable period and has played a significant role in the team’s 2024 class, which currently holds the No. 2 ranking nationwide. He has emerged as one of the vocal leaders within this class and fully supports Michigan’s strong pursuit of both Bryce West and Aaron Scott.

Recent reports indicate that Michigan football is in an excellent position regarding Aaron Scott, despite the Ohio State Buckeyes having the opportunity to host both Scott and West for their final visit next weekend. The Wolverines have been steadily building momentum with both recruits for several months, and it seems that this momentum is yielding substantial results for the Maize and Blue as the recruitment process nears its conclusion.

Considering these reports, along with the optimism expressed by Michigan football commit Jacob Oden, it appears that Jim Harbaugh’s team is on the verge of securing a significant commitment or two from Ohio in the near future. While it may be seen as optimistic thinking, it undoubtedly presents an intriguing development for Michigan fans to monitor throughout the summer.
