BBQ at the Big House is an annual event that concludes the month of July for the Michigan football program. Recently, it was reported that Ryan Montgomery, a four-star Ohio QB target and one of the top-ranked QBs in the 2025 recruiting class, will be in Ann Arbor for this grand celebration of football and recruiting later this month. While Michigan’s primary focus at quarterback is on five-star Bryce Underwood, the current No. 1 player in the country, it is evident that the Wolverines have several other options as well.

According to the ON3 Industry Rankings, Ryan Montgomery is a four-star quarterback in the class of 2025. He holds the No. 210 ranking nationwide, No. 15 among quarterbacks in his class, and is the No. 8 recruit in the state of Ohio. Michigan has been actively recruiting Ohio players, and they seem to be in a favorable position early on with this highly regarded quarterback prospect.

In Montgomery’s recruitment, Michigan football is considered one of the top contenders, closely trailing the Ohio State Buckeyes, according to the Recruiting Prediction Machine. Other strong contenders include the Kentucky Wildcats and the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Ryan Montgomery, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound quarterback with exceptional talent, hails from Findlay, OH. He has been closely monitored by the Wolverine coaching staff for the past few months and is solely finding himself among the most sought-after players in the 2025 recruiting class.
