The 2024 Michigan football recruiting class is taking shape, currently holding 25 commits and counting at the beginning of July. With the 2024 cycle starting to cool down for the Maize and Blue, Jim Harbaugh and his staff are starting to plant early seeds in the 2025 class, which currently ranks among the top 10, coming in at No. 7. While Bryce Underwood remains the Wolverines’ top target in the 2025 cycle, the Maize and Blue are eyeing a number of major quarterbacks, including four-star California quarterback target Husan Longstreet.

Husan Longstreet is a major four-star quarterback in the 2025 recruiting cycle, ranking among the class’s top 100 recruits nationally. Again, Bryce Underwood — the No. 1 player in the nation — remains Michigan’s top recruiting target, though the Maize and Blue are keeping their options open right now.

According to the ON3 Industry Rankings, Husan Longstreet ranks as a four-star quarterback, coming in as the No. 97 recruit in the nation, the No. 6 quarterback in the 2025 class, and the No. 11 player in the state of California.

Longstreet had a recent visit with Michigan football on the final day of May, which appears to have slingshotted the Maize and Blue into first place in his recruitment. While it is too early for crystal balls or a solid prediction to be made, the Wolverines are in first place according to the Recruiting Prediction Machine, boasting a 41.7% chance to land him. The next-highest team in the RPM is the UNLV Rebels, who have a 3.3% chance at the moment.

This major 6-foot-2, 185-pound quarterback recruit is a top target to watch for Maize and Blue fans as the 2025 recruiting class starts to take center stage.
