Leading up to the 2023 college football season, Pro Football Focus has slowly released its top 50 players in the sport. Today, the final wave of top players was released, including Michigan football running back Blake Corum, who was ranked among the top 5 players nationally.

Michigan football running back Blake Corum ranked top 5 in college football

According to Pro Football Focus, Michigan football running back Blake Corum is among the nation’s elite players, coming in at No. 4 in the nation as the 2023 college football season approaches. So far, Corum has stood out as a sophomore and a junior, playing a large role for the Wolverines during both of their Big Ten title and College Football Playoff campaigns this decade.

Last fall, as RB1, Corum rushed his way into the record books for Michigan football before being sidelined for the final 3.5 games of the Wolverines’ 2022 season due to a Week 12 knee injury, which came just before halftime against Illinois. In 2023, Blake Corum is returning for one final run at the national championship with the Maize and Blue, and few (if any) players in the game are more touted than this Michigan football star.

On top of being one of the most impactful Michigan football players to ever suit up under 9th-year head coach Jim Harbaugh, Blake Corum is one of the greatest locker room leaders in program history, which gives the Wolverines yet another edge in their hunt for a national title this fall.

According to Pro Football Focus, Blake Corum is the 4th-best player in college football — he sits behind Caleb Williams (QB, USC), Brock Bowers (TE, Georgia), and Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR, Ohio State).
