This afternoon, a new RPM prediction was placed in favor of Michigan Wolverines football to land a major four-star edge rusher out of Maryland in the 2024 recruiting class. This new projection, placed by Zach Libby of The Wolverine.com, puts the Maize and Blue in a favorable spot just days after hosting Dominic Nichols for an official visit, a visit that appears to give the Wolverines a solid lead, which was previously held by the Wisconsin Badgers.

New RPM prediction gives Michigan Wolverines football a steady lead over the competition to land major four-star Maryland edge rusher in 2024 recruiting class

Blue by Ninety has extensively covered the recruitment of Dominic Nichols, a four-star edge rusher in the 2024 recruiting class. Today’s new predictions are a great sign for the Maize and Blue. Just over a week ago, it seemed like Wisconsin was the favored destination for Nichols following a huge official visit in Madison. However, after a subsequent trip to Ann Arbor, MI, it appears that Jim Harbaugh is once again in the driver’s seat.

Landing Nichols in the 2024 class would be a significant achievement for Michigan Wolverines football. He possesses a formidable frame and incredible talent. Moreover, the Maize and Blue have a reputation for developing defensive ends like Aidan Hutchinson, Mike Morris, and others. Adding a highly sought-after prospect like Nichols would spell disaster for opposing Big Ten quarterbacks.

According to the ON3 rankings, Dominic Nichols is a four-star edge rusher from Oakdale High School in MD. He is ranked as the No. 28 edge rusher in his class and the No. 9 recruit in the state of Maryland.
