Jonas Williams, a 6-3, 185-pound quarterback from Bolingbrook High School in Bolingbrook, IL, had a great visit with the Wolverines on Saturday. Michigan football hosted a number of the nation’s top recruits — including some huge QB prospects — and definitely made a solid impression on the 2026 Michigan football quarterback prospect.
Michigan football quarterback prospect feeling ‘at home’ in Ann Arbor
Jonas Williams made his first trip to Ann Arbor (ever) on Saturday, and came away feeling at home with Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan football program. According to On3, the 2026 Michigan football quarterback prospect is favored to land at Purdue University; however, seeing as he is a 2026 recruit, it is far too early to tell with Williams. Here is what Jonas Williams had to say about his time in Ann Arbor this weekend:
“The Michigan visit was great,” Williams told The Michigan Insider. “I felt at home. I loved everybody from the players to coaches and staff members. The facility was magnificent. It’s definitely the biggest facility I’ve been in, and coach Harbaugh is a great man.”
Heading into the weekend visit, Williams did not have an offer from Michigan football; however, that all changed during his day on campus.
“Coach Campbell offered me in his office,” Williams said. “I was super excited. I think he’s a great coach. I love the way he teaches his quarterbacks and he’s honest, which is great. He has a tough love type of coaching style.” Williams added, “I think Michigan is a great environment and it’s at the top of my list.”
Jonas Williams is yet to be ranked by any major recruiting site, though he does have quite the offer list going as it is. On this list are schools such as Purdue, Kent State, Tennessee, Pitt, and Michigan. Thus far, Williams has visited with two schools — both are in the Big Ten: Purdue and Michigan.
