On Tuesday afternoon, Steve Wiltfong of 247 Sports announced some massive news for Michigan football recruiting. Jadyn Davis — the Wolverines’ top prospect target in the 2024 class — plans on making another trip to Ann Arbor later this year. At this point in Davis’ recruitment, time appears to be running out for the Michigan Wolverines, who are still the favorite to land the five-star.

Time is running out for Jadyn Davis

Jadyn Davis has visited Ann Arbor many times thus far, and frankly, most fans and insiders expected a commitment by now. The fact that he has not gone Maize and Blue yet is not a great look; however, it does not mean that Michigan won’t end up landing him. Still, Davis taking his sweet time is not a good sign, and time appears to be running out for the Wolverines.

On Tuesday, five-star North Carolina QB prospect Jadyn Davis told Steve Wiltfong that he plans on making another trip to Ann Arbor this spring — Davis does not have an exact date in mind just yet, but this is huge news for Jim Harbaugh and Michigan recruiting. This very well could be a make-or-break visit for Michigan’s odds to pull Davis; if he does not commit this spring, the Wolverines’ odds are not looking too good.

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Davis is the No. 20 player in his class, the No. 4 quarterback, and No. 1 player in North Carolina. Additionally, Davis has an 88% chance to end up in the Winged Helmet as JJ McCarthy’s replacement when things are all said and done. Still, this spring’s visit will likely be a deciding factor — this is Jim Harbaugh’s shot at sealing the deal and landing this incredible five-star quarterback.
