Once again, 247 Sports has updated its rankings for the 2024 recruiting class, which recently signed its letters of intent to play for Jim Harbaugh and his Wolverines in Ann Arbor. In these new rankings, top-ranked Michigan football commit Jordan Marshall, a running back out of Ohio and one of the most anticipated new faces for the Maize and Blue, dropped a few spots.

Michigan football commit Jordan Marshall falls in latest rankings

Jordan Marshall is one of the most anticipated and hyped recruits in Ann Arbor right now, especially after winning numerous awards recognizing him as the top player in the state of Ohio, such as Mr. Football in Ohio honors. In just a few months, Marshall will get on campus and compete with the likes of Donovan Edwards, Kalel Mullings, Benjamin Hall, and more for reps in Mike Hart’s loaded RB room.

Despite all of the hype and recognition that Jordan Marshall has earned as of late, the elite Michigan football commit dropped five spots from No. 150 nationally to No. 155 in the latest 247 Sports recruiting rankings for the 2024 recruiting class. That said, Marshall is up a number of spots since his first ranking back in April of 2022, which pinned him as the No. 187 player in the country; additionally, On3 still lists him as the Wolverines’ No. 1 commit in the 2024 cycle.

Marshall remains one of the Wolverines’ top commits in the 2024 recruiting class

247 Sports currently ranks Marshall as the No. 12 running back in his class and the No. 6 player in the state of Ohio, making him one of Michigan’s top recruits despite the recent drop. During his senior high school football season, Jordan Marshall averaged about 120 rushing yards per game, totaling nearly 1,600 rushing yards and 17 rushing touchdowns while appearing in 13 games (2023).

Now, heading into the 2024 season, the elite Ohio talent will be looking to do more of the same with the Maize and Blue as the Wolverines pursue a second straight National Championship and all that comes with it.
