The month of June is coming to a close, and consequently, the Wolverines are getting closer to securing a number of highly-ranked prospects. Currently, the 2024 Michigan football recruiting class consists of 22 committed players and continues to grow, positioning itself as the second-best class in the country. Over the next few days, six significant targets for the Wolverines will announce their commitments. Here are the commitment dates that Maize and Blue fans should keep an eye on.

6 major Michigan football commitment dates that fans should be keeping an eye on

Michigan football recruiting is currently gaining momentum, showcasing one of the strongest classes in the nation. With a total of 22 committed players, the Wolverines are exceeding Jim Harbaugh’s previous records, as he has never secured as many commitments (16) before July 1st in his time at Ann Arbor.

Jeremiah Beasley

The initial significant Michigan football recruiting target who will announce his commitment this week is Jeremiah Beasley, a highly regarded four-star linebacker from within the state. The Wolverines have been actively pursuing Jeremiah Beasley for a considerable period, and after successfully capturing his attention away from Michigan State, they have intensified their efforts. Beasley’s commitment is scheduled for Wednesday (6/29), making it a highly anticipated day for fans of the Maize and Blue.

Michael Uini

This highly sought-after four-star offensive tackle from Texas has emerged as a significant target for Michigan football recruiting. Michael Uini’s recruitment has gained considerable momentum, with several experts predicting his commitment to the Maize and Blue. Securing Uini’s commitment would greatly enhance Michigan’s 2024 recruiting class, and his announcement is set to take place on Friday (6/30), potentially adding further strength to the Wolverines’ class.

Deyvid Palepale

Deyvid Palepale, a three-star defensive tackle from Pennsylvania, initially seemed to be leaning towards Michigan football recruiting. However, recently, Penn State has garnered significant attention and support from insiders, creating uncertainty regarding Palepale’s commitment among Wolverines fans. Palepale is scheduled to announce his decision on Saturday (July 1st), which will be a pivotal day for both the Wolverines and the Nittany Lions. It remains to be seen whether it will be a momentous day for Michigan or if Penn State will come out on top in Palepale’s recruitment.

Elias Rudolph

Michigan football recruiting has faced setbaJeremiah Beasleycks in securing top edge rusher targets for the 2024 cycle, as they missed out on both Darien Mayo and Aaron Chiles in a short span of time. However, the Wolverines did manage to secure a significant commitment from Dominic Nichols, a highly regarded four-star edge rusher. They are now poised for another potential victory with Elias Rudolph, another four-star edge rusher. Elias Rudolph is scheduled to announce his commitment on July 3rd, exactly one week from today. Wolverines fans will be eagerly awaiting the outcome, hoping for another major blue-chip addition to their class.

Aaron Scott

There is a significant likelihood that Michigan football may not secure the commitment of Aaron Scott, particularly considering that another highly rated four-star recruit, Bryce West, recently pledged to the Ohio State Buckeyes. Scott, who is ranked as the top recruit in the state of Ohio, is a coveted target for both the Buckeyes and the Wolverines. His decision is scheduled to be announced on July 4th. If, by some chance, the Wolverines manage to land Scott, it could potentially be regarded as one of Jim Harbaugh’s most significant recruiting victories during his tenure as Michigan’s head coach.

Jordan Shipp

Jordan Shipp, a highly regarded four-star wide receiver, is anticipated to join the Wolverines in the 2024 recruiting cycle. Shipp is a significant target due to his exceptional talent and skill set. However, the benefits extend beyond his individual abilities. The Wolverines have already secured commitments from two of Shipp’s teammates, namely four-star wide receiver Channing Goodwin and five-star quarterback Jadyn Davis. These familiar faces will undoubtedly enhance the chemistry within the team. Shipp’s decision date is set for July 16th, which may seem distant, but the time for his decision is approaching quickly — this is one of the most important commitment dates that the Wolverines have their eyes on.
