5 star Michigan football recruiting target announces decision date

Yesterday, one of the top Michigan football recruiting targets in the 2024 cycle released a notable announcement. Ryan Wingo, a major five-star wide receiver that the Wolverines have been pushing hard for this summer, will be committing at the end of this year.

According to an announcement that came on Friday, five-star Michigan football recruiting target Ryan Wingo will be announcing his commitment at the end of this year on December 20th. The Maize and Blue have been making a huge push for Wingo over the past few months, making this a notable date for Wolverine fans to keep circled on their calendars following the 2023 college football regular season.

According to the Recruiting Prediction Machine, Michigan football is among the top 5 teams for Ryan Wingo, yet the Texas Longhorns appear to have a dominant lead in this race right now. Back in June, the Wolverines hosted Wingo, along with many other major targets, for an official visit, which reportedly went quite well.

According to the 247 Sports recruiting rankings, five-star wide receiver Ryan Wingo is among the top players in the 2024 recruiting class. He is ranked as the 7th-best player nationally, the 2nd-ranked wide receiver in his class, and the 2nd-ranked player in his state (MO).

Currently, it does not seem like Wingo is leaning towards the Maize and Blue, though it is clear that Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines at least have a foot in the door and could make a bigger push toward his commitment date in December.
